Rockabilly and Burlesque: Match Made in Heaven?
On February 7, Love Attack will perform at the Golden Tiger in Asakusa, Tokyo. In December they also performed there with the Situray Cats and the Moretsu Attack 40’s for a fun night of rockabilly and burlesque as well as celebrating Nago’s birthday.
First up were the Situray Cats. The stage was really small, and the chandelier was decorative but also in the way. The show must go on regardless of the obstacles.
See how small the stage is? That red velvet cushion in the lower right is for the audience. Up close and personal.
Midway through the set Odile and Bee Tiny Tot in their full-length gowns came grooving down the aisle and joined the band. Everybody had a fabulous time!
Colour co-ordinated for Christmas perhaps? Everything was festive.
And when the drummer gets thirsty, you lend a helping hand, right? A little water is good for you.
After the Situray Cats, the next act was Love Attack: Maria Luna, Bee Tiny Tot, Odile, and Marie Horn (clockwise from upper left).

You can tell by watching Tiny Bee Tot that she just loves to dance! Even during other acts or between acts, she was wiggling around and dancing to whatever music was playing.
All patrons, male or female, are encouraged to tip. Costumes, false eyelashes, and venues are expensive!
Marie Horn, as usual, was elegant and graceful. Even hand gestures are important to her.
Wondering why Odile was wearing a red cape? The show was on December 23, two days before Christmas, so Odile, of course, chose her theme in accordance with the season. She was the little match girl from the story by Hans Christian Andersen. She even handed out boxes of matches to the audience.
Maria Luna was seasonal in a different way. She came out in a dark robe decorated with crosses fro Christianity, and solemn music playing in the background.
Things got a bit wild after that. Her coloured contact lenses were freaky!
Between the acts, somebody has to pick up the clothes that fall on the floor.
Do you think that is a waiter bringing a bottle of water to the table? No, that is the lead singer of the Moretsu Attack 40’s!
After the Moretsu thanked everybody for their continued support, everybody started dancing, including the Situray Cats and friends.
Okay, maybe not everybody was dancing all night. Had to slow down and get a drink sometimes, don’t they?
Gathering around the bar for drinks after a fun-filled evening.
Don’t forget that Love Attack is reuniting on February 7 at the Golden Tiger again!
